Fun Times in August and September

I can't believe that September is almost over!  We have been very busy having fun.  Below are some pictures from our adventures to Suson Park, the Magic House, Transportation Day, and the Cardinals game.

Thomas loved Peaches! He still talks about Peaches but not as much as Rusty and Babe.  Thomas thinks that the baby is going to be a baby sister named Rusty.

We saw goats, sheep, turkeys, chickens, and even a peacock.

Thomas loved all the animals.  He did what he normally does when he gets excited, jump up and down and yell.  He was yelling the animal sounds and "Giddy up horsey." 

 This is the Momma pig with one of her three babies. 

We also saw a big, big horse.

 

MAGIC HOUSE

 

 

All Thomas wanted to do was drive this big milk truck.  We kept trying to get him to do other things, but he would just run back to the truck. 

Daddy finally got him to go fishing.  He also liked climbing up the spiral staircase and going down the slide because he could do it all by himself.

 

CARDINALS GAME

 

 

 

 

 GO CARDINALS!

Thomas loved cheering for the cardinals.  He was clapping, yelling, and dancing.  His favorite part was when Fredbird drove around the field in a FORD truck and then went in the tunnel.  Trucks and tunnels!!!  Hope the people in front of us were as into the game as he was.  I am sure they appreciated when we left in the third inning.  It was HOT.

 

 

Thomas needed some Dip N Dots ice cream to cool off.

 

 

TRANSPORTATION DAY

 

 

 

We saw lots of trucks including a fire truck!

 

 

Thomas was shy about climbing into the trucks at first, but eventually he drove a bulldozer, dump truck, and boat.  Momma's favorite was the ambulance.  At first they wouldn't let me in until they knew I wasn't due for a few more months.  They said that they could deliver the baby if they needed to but I said "No thank you."

 

 

 

I know this day will come WAY too soon.

 

 

 

Thomas' favorite mode of transportation was the horse drawn carriage and there weren't even any horses there to pull it.  I guess he is an old soul like his Momma.

Lake Martin

We had a great time at the lake this year.  Thomas was not afraid to ride in the boat so the trip was a lot different than last year.  He was a trooper about wearing his life jacket and loved fishing, swimming, driving, and most importantly, the CABIN.  Thanks Granddaddy and Lady for a really fun trip!   We can't wait until next year when we will have two more join us (Aunt Emily and the baby).

We made it!  We rolled the windows down so we could smell the country air.

 

Thomas loved driving the boat.

 

He would put Granddaddy's hands on his legs so that Granddaddy couldn't touch the steering wheel.  Only Thomas could drive the boat.

 Thomas enjoyed fishing.  Here he is helping Lady.  I don't think she caught anymore fish after Thomas began helping her...our tactic worked.  Pretzels allowed us to fish and ride in the boat.  Thomas made sure we had them for every boat ride.

 

 

 

 



There is nothing better than waking up every day from a long nap and eating a Popsicle.

 



Thomas was a little apprehensive about swimming, but quickly became a natural.  No one was allowed to touch his "boat."  He kept yelling, "I swimmin, I kickin, I splashin, I drivin."



 

 

It wasn't long before he said, "I jumpin."

Thomas got to feed the ducks, and we saw a family of ducks on one of our boat rides.

On the way back to the cabin, Thomas would grab my head and say, "Do you see it?  Do you see the cabin?"  He loved the cabin just as much if not more than playing outside.

20 Weeks!

4th of July!

4th of July began with a parade around Granddaddy and Lady's neighborhood and "cones."

Happy Birthday Nana!

 

We celebrated Nana's 90th birthday with beautiful cupcakes made by Aunt Katie.  They were delicious.  We were so blessed to be able to share this day with Nana and the whole family, even Daniel who surprised us by coming back from Australia early.

 

Saying good-bye is never easy. 

 

A special thanks to Uncle Tom, Aunt Sandra, Uncle Chuck, Aunt Leslie (notice I left "great" off), Grammy, and Papa for the wonderful food.  We gained 5 pounds, stayed up way too late, had lots of fun, and created some wonderful memories.  Can't wait until next year!
